Professor Patrick Devine-Wright

Professor in Human Geography

Patrick is a Professsor in Human Geography and an expert in using social science insights to inform environmental decision-making.

He is Director of the new £6.25m ACCESS (Advancing Capacity in Climate and Environment Social Science) programme, which works to increase the co-ordination and visibility of social science research through outreach and close relationships with stakeholders and policy makers across the UK and internationally. Patrick’s research has been ranked in the world’s top 1% of social science from 2019-2022.
