Professor Philipp Thies

Philipp, a Renewable Energy Associate Professor, devotes his research to ensuring reliable engineering practices for renewable energy technologies, with a particular emphasis on offshore energy.

Philipp serves as the Co-Director of the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) hub, which fosters collaboration between academia, industry, policymakers, and the public. Their goal is to encourage innovation and optimise the societal benefits of offshore wind, wave, and tidal energy.
