Professor Hywel Williams

Hywel is a Professor of Environmental Data Science, Hywel focused on problems that link social processes and environmental change.

He is Director of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Environmental Intelligence, based in Exeter, which develops digital and AI solutions that provide meaningful insight into climate impacts, challenges, and action. He is also Co-Director of the Joint Centre for Excellence in Environmental Intelligence, jointly operated with the UK Met Office.
