Professor Kevin Gaston

Professor of Biodiversity and Conservation

Kevin is a Professor of Biodiversity and Conservation, with a long track record of research, much of it interdisciplinary, into the interactions between people and nature.

 

This has included work on people’s interactions with nature, land management, and ecosystem services.

 

He was founding Director of the Environment and Sustainability Institute, leads the ‘Renewing biodiversity through a people-in-nature approach’ (RENEW) project, and works closely with a range of government and other partners including Natural England and National Trust.
